Understanding Freight Fundamentals: The Role and Process of the Letter of Credit
How Prodoc & Origin help Go Logistics to maintain flexibility during peak seasons
Go Logistics (Go Air Land Sea) is a full-service freight forwarding and logistics provider in New Zealand, offering air, sea, and road freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and supply chain solutions. As they expanded their export & import operations, their export documentation complexity grew. To stay agile and compliant, Go Logistics needed an export documentation system that could scale with its services across multiple transport modes, commodities and complexities.
Suzanne McGuire, Documentation Manager at Go Logistics, shares how TradeWindow Prodoc and TradeWindow Origin has helped the team simplify export documentation, save time, and maintain flexibility during peak seasons.
The Challenge
Basic functionality and lack of speedy support Go Logistics’ previous system could only produce invoices and packing lists, and while it integrated with INTTRA, it lacked the built-in ability to create key documents such as government authorised certificates of origin.
This limitation meant extra manual work, slower turnaround times, and fewer options for after-hours document processing, creating bottlenecks during busy periods.
The Solution
A platform for instant certificates, one-step data entry, and seamless integration
TradeWindow Prodoc and TradeWindow Origin provided the flexibility and the functionality that Go Logistics was looking for.
“Being able to enter information once and generate certificates of origin, invoices, and packing lists, all from a single entry is a huge time saver. Also, the fact that Prodoc issues certificates almost instantaneously, even after hours, on weekends, and on public holidays was a big factor for us.” – Suzanne McGuire, Documentation Manager at Go Logistics
TradeWindow Prodoc’s existing INTTRA integration was another advantage for Go Logistics, making the implementation smooth. Suzanne’s colleague, Alanie Fox, led the research and liaised with TradeWindow through the onboarding process to get the system up and running.
The Results

Faster turnaround and valuable weekend access
Go Logistics now produces certificates of origin more quickly and with far greater flexibility. Other highilghts include:
Efficiency Gains – Single data entry produces multiple documents, reducing duplication and manual errors.
Integrated Workflows – INTTRA integration keeps shipping processes seamless.
Responsive Support – Fast, friendly assistance ensures smooth day-to-day operations.
“An unexpected benefit is the ability to have certificates of origin issued during the weekend and
on public holidays. I am extremely busy during the peak produce season and am working most
weekends, so this is invaluable.”
– Suzanne McGuire, Documentation Manager at Go Logistics
Future Plans
Expanding automation and unlocking more
Looking ahead, Go Logistics plans to explore more of Prodoc’s automation capabilities as their documentation team grows with a desire to set up API links with key clients.
By unlocking more of TradeWindow Prodoc and TradeWindow Origin’s features, Go Logistics aims to deliver even greater value to customers. Faster, more accurate documentation will reduce the turnaround times and potential delays. This means exporters will benefit from a single logistics partner that not only manages logistics, but also provides end-to-end documentation, helping them get goods to market more efficiently and with full compliance.
